A Perfect Meal Idea For Your Partner


Forget ordering your favourite Indian takeaway and take some time to cook for your partner. Let’s run through the best meals you could cook for your partner? There are so many recipes and ingredients out there it is hard to find the right one. I have listed some ideas for anyone who is considering cooking something special for a loved one and is not sure how to cook it or what ingredients to buy.

I started my research with the BBC website and I browsed several dishes which I think will go down well. The first meal that I have selected is a vegetable and salmon bake. It will take just twenty minutes to prepare and roughly 10 or twenty minutes to cook. It is reletively easy to prepare and the ingredients are cheap.

Here is a step by step guide on how to cook this meal;

1. Preheat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7
2. Place the cream in a saucepan over a medium heat, and, when warm, add the potato and leeks and bring to a simmer for 3-4 minutes.
3. Now take the cream off the heat and allow to cool for a couple of minutes. Gradually add the egg yolks and cheese, whisking constantly until all the cheese has melted.
4. Finish it off with extra mature cheese and place back into the oven to bake for just ten minutes, or until sunny golden and cooked all the way through. Add extra cheese and place in the over for 10 minutes, once golden it’s ready.
5. To serve, place the chives on top of the dish.
